The ACK550S is an upcut saw produced by Yilmaz for straight and mitre cutting of larger profiles or bundle/stack cutting.
Due to the smart design of the ACK550S some common problems associated with drop saws have been eliminated. Offcuts are no longer thrown by the blade as the clamps can be set very close to the blade allowing even very short offcuts to be clamped. Clamps are pneumatic and pressure regulated, while blade feed is controlled via a hydro-pneumatic (air over oil) feed system, which allows fully adjustable speed control from the front panel.
Totally guarded with safety microswitches and requiring two-hand push button operation, the Yilmaz ACK550S complies with New Zealand Safety standards for mitre saws.

ACK550S Rotating Table
The ACK550S has a rotating table between 75 degrees left to 75 degrees right and indexed location pins at common intermittent angles for accurate and rapid set-up for both mitre cutting and straight cutting.
ACK550S Extraction Ports
On the rear of the machine are two extraction ports, one providing extraction from behind the saw fence and the other extracting from underneath the table.
