With your Tormek T-4 Bushcraft, you can sharpen your knives and axes to make them sharper than when they were new and get them ready for hunting, outdoor activities and adventures.
This sharpening machine is versatile, and it's easy to learn how to use it. You decide the angle based on what you want to use your tool for.
The compact design makes it easy to take with you, no matter where you're going
The sleeves for the Universal Support are cast in the zinc top. This, together with the Tormek stadium-shaped design of the holes (patent pending), means the precision of this grinder has been improved by 300% compared to the T3 model.
Tormek's original grindstone, and the one that comes as standard on your T4. The SG200 Original Grindstone has evolved over the years to offer the best combination of efficient steel removal, smooth surface finish and a long life. This stone efficiently cuts all types of tools and steel qualities, including HSS.
The leather honing wheel gently removes the burr which develops during grinding and polishes the bevel. It is used together with the Honing Compound PA-70.
Tormek's KJ-45 Centering Knife Jig fits most types of knives, such as hunting and fishing knives, household knives, chef's knives and craft knives.
With the AX-40 Axe Jig, the axe is fixed in the jig and you can easily follow the shape of the edge, regardless of whether it's straight or rounded, hollow, flat, or convex beveled.
Why Tormek?
With the wide range of Tormek patented jigs, you can sharpen practically all types of edge tools. Tormek is dedicated to developing water cooled sharpening through innovative solutions.
The key word when sharpening the Tormek way is repeatability. You can shape the tool exactly to your needs. Even complicated shapes such as fingernail turning gouges, spoon carving gouges and oval skew chisels with a radiused edge are easily sharpened.
You finish the sharpening process by honing and polishing the edge on the leather honing wheel. You get a razor sharp edge.
Once the shape is created, you remove only a fraction of the steel when re-sharpening, which makes it a quick job.
At the low speed, you have full control of the sharpening and remove no more steel than necessary. An extra benefit is that your tools last longer.
There is no risk that the edge becomes overheated and loses its hardness.
Worn steel particles are deposited into the water trough, keeping the air clear of grinding dust. No sparks are produced, avoiding a potential fire hazard in workshops with a lot of wood dust. You will also find that the Tormek runs surprisingly quietly.
Buying a Tormek is a safe investment in quality and performance with a 7 year warranty. You are assured that all future developments will fit your machine.
*When used for commercial, industrial or educational purpose, the T4 warranty is 2 years.
